		<description>I am your cousin through Johannea Methea Frantzen. Lauri (Laura) her daughter is my grandmother. Finding this site and all the books about my ancestors is the most exciting find I have had in many months.

I have always wondered how Anders Jensen Frantzen became a teacher. I had found that the crown had mandated that all Danes receive an education in 1814 and wondered why Anders was selected. 

This is so wonderful!!! My mother had me out of wedlock and chose my last name as Franzen. I was named Carla Mea Franzen probably because she so believed in education. Laura had her husband, Andrew (Anders), insist that mother and her twin sister receive a high school education in Barrington, Ill, USA. Girls getting a high school education in the early 1900s was very accepted here in the US.

I shall download Dear Great Great Grandfather immediately.
